Well, that’s the basic storyline of one arranged marriage which in the long-term turns into One Arranged Murder. Prerna has been murdered/ committed suicide/ accidentally fell. Alas! When Saurabh reaches there from the back door, the sight stuns the life out of him. She doesn’t eat and drink throughout the day, and in the evening gets all dolled up, waiting for her husband-to-be on the patio of her three-storey house. On Karva Chauth, Prerna keeps a fast for Saurabh. There is likely more love between them than any other arranged- marriage couple. Prerna and Saurabh are a cheesy and extremely romantic, lovey-dovey couple. Prerna’s on the heavier side, and Keshav consistently finds some or the other reason to take a jab at her weight. However, the inseparable friends are not talking to each other, the reason being Keshav’s propensity of fat-shaming Saurabh’s fiancé, Prerna. Keshav and Saurabh are best friends, flat-mates, colleagues, ah and also business partners at a detective agency they just commenced. I can’t help mentioning that Bhagat’s unexplained mania with number names goes on. It returns the reader to the gauche detective/ friends’ duo of Keshav and Saurabh, the guys we met in The Girl in Room 105. Coming back to business, let’s talk about One Arranged Murder, sequel to The Girl in Room 105. Hopefully the pandemic hasn’t been too harsh on you.
